At Game Fishing Angola we are firm believers that billfish should not be needlessly killed. On the occasions, where a fish appears to be a strong candidate for a world record, we will bring it in to be weighed. The same applies in the rare event that a fish cannot be revived.
We make every effort to ensure our billfish survive to fight another day and when possible we try to tag them with Billfish Foundation tags.
We only use circle hooks when bait fishing for Billfish and tagged our first Marlin and Sailfish off Luanda back in 1992 and have tagged many hundreds since then.
