Packing for your time in Angola really isn't particularly difficult or complicated, but here's a few bits and pieces we suggest just in case you forget anything:
NOTE: We would like you to bring and wear closed type boat shoes or trainers. We prefer not to have people barefoot or in flip flops on the boat, to prevent avoidable injuries, that will spoil your trip and ours!
- Casual hot weather clothing.
- Insect repellent.
- High protection sun block cream/spray. Lip balm/chapstick.
- Motion / sea sickness medication.
- Light weight waterproof jacket, in the event of rain.
- Light long-sleeved shirts and trousers may be preferable for night time when mosquitoes are active.
- Sunglasses and a hat.
- Boat shoes/trainers for on the boat (see below) and casual footwear/flip flops/sandals.
- If you wear prescription glasses/sunglasses bring a spare back up pair, as it will be a problem to get replacements at short notice.
- Yellow Fever vaccination card.
- Relevant travel documents. Always pack photocopies of your documents in separate bags or be able to access them via the internet.
- If on prescription medication, bring enough to last your time here plus some extra just in case.
- Cameras and equipment, chargers cables etc. We have USB and 12V lighter type chargers on boat.
- Angola's electrical supply is 220V 50Hz and uses 2 pin European type Schuko plugs. Bring adapters as required as they can be difficult to find here. You will have Wi-Fi in your hotel so can use your devices.
- Your own fishing tackle if you intend to use this.
