The tourist visa must be used within 30 days from the date of issuance and is valid for 30 days in the country. This period can be extended once for another period of 30 days, but it is unlikely that this will be necessary. Passports used to apply for this visa must be valid for at least 12 months and have 2 blank pages. The visa can be applied for online at http://www.smevisa.gov.ao (the website can be somewhat unreliable but keep trying). The process involves uploading scans of documentation (passport, vaccinations, proof of funds and accommodation, etc.) and within 10 days you will receive a visa issuance form however it can be issued in hours. This must be brought with you to the airport on arrival along with the previous documentation. The visa will be issued there for a fee of $120 USD and this should be paid in cash so please bring the exact amount as change might not be available. Please note that if applying online the requirements for the scanned documentation are very strict. Ensure you follow the size/colour requirements closely or you risk having the process prolonged.
Please contact us and we will advise you on the new procedures if you have any issues.
If you are a passport holder from a country not listed above please contact us for advice on how to obtain a visa.
